Project objectives

This project seeks to support fishing communities by promoting alternative businesses such as tourism and events organization, and traditional crafts, as well as increasing by-catch reporting through trainings and demonstrations. It aims to collect valuable information on sturgeon populations by improving compliance with mandatory by-catch reporting and improving data collection processes. Additionally, the project will monitor the market for illegal products and work towards making controls and checks more efficient and effective.

This project is implemented by WWF Romania.
