Project objectives

This research project aims to address the knowledge gap concerning Critically Endangered and Endangered Agamid lizard species inhabiting the Knuckles and Morningside forest reserves in Sri Lanka. The project proposes to fill this critical research gap by conducting molecular phylogenetic studies, utilizing both nuclear and mitochondrial genes, in conjunction with traditional taxonomic approaches.
