Project objectives

This project aims to strengthen the Scalloped Hammerhead Shark Sanctuary in Golfo Dulce, Costa Rica by implementing a conservation model that integrates climate action mitigation, coastal resilience, and marine conservation activities. The project will help decrease environmental and social-economic vulnerabilities within Golfo Dulce communities, one of the poorest in the country, and at the same time yield a healthier Eastern Tropical Pacific region.

This project is implemented by Asociación Conservacionista Misión Tiburón.
