Project objectives

This project aims to increase the capacity of Itombwe Nature Reserve’s eco-guards through intensive training and logistical support for surveillance patrols. It will also aim to set up routine patrols to respond to daily poaching incursions that have become recurrent following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the hopes of ultimately reducing them.

This project is implemented by Itombwe Génération pour l’Humanité.
